A 2021 Wrap-Up

We hope this post finds everyone healthy and well! We wanted to write a quick post to thank our coalition members, leadership team, and community partners (JoCo MNH, City of Olathe, Olathe Schools, Mission Bowl, and Hyvee) for their extensive support this year. Because of them and supporters like you, we were able to continue our mission of preventing youth substance usage and abuse by creating a healthy community for all.

To join our mission in 2022, please email! We are looking for Olathians (or other locals) of all ages from a diverse set of organizations who can join our Zoom community coalition meetings once every other month on the second Tuesday from 3:30-4:30. These can be counted as volunteer hours and are a great way to stay in the loop about drug and alcohol trends/prevention. We would be thrilled to have you!

To stay updated on CTC, view drug resources, and participate in advocacy for 2022, please follow our social media channels @olathectc on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Last but not least, 2022 is a great time to start the conversation with the youth in your life about alcohol and other substances; this is the number 1 prevention method for usage and abuse among teens! Here is a NIH guide to talking to teens about alcohol, but for additional resources, please visit our resources page.

Happy 2o22; here's to another year of Olathe CTC and healthy communities.
